MINI Malaysia recently hosted the MINIfest 2023 at Sentul Depot on Saturday, July 22nd. The festival, themed “Big Love, Big Fun,” united MINI enthusiasts of all ages, fostering a shared passion for the brand while offering an array of exhilarating activities and entertainment.

Over 2,300 devoted MINIacs thronged to Sentul Depot to partake in an exciting lineup of events, including MINI showcases, exclusive test-drives, live entertainment, and a diverse selection of sustainably-made retail offerings.

For adrenaline junkies, the carnival games provided endless thrills and laughter, with the MINI Slingshot catapulting attendees into the air for a bird’s-eye view of the festivities. The MINI Car Boot Sale attracted eager shoppers, offering a plethora of funky arts and crafts, trendy fashion items, and unique recreational accessories from brand partners and local vendors. Lucky draw contests throughout the day presented a chance for attendees to win exciting prizes curated by MINI and esteemed partners.

MINI enthusiasts were delighted to discover the exclusive MINI merchandise booth, where they could find a wide range of branded items. A customisation station allowed them to personalize their gear, adding a touch of individuality to their beloved MINI paraphernalia.

Families with young MINIacs had a blast at the festival with two specially designed workshops in collaboration with Modle.play. Children enjoyed constructing their own Remarkable Battery Powered MINI from scratch and designing personalized MINI keychains or jewelry.

Attendees were treated to the live creation of mural art, offering a sneak preview of the artist’s collaboration with MINI for the upcoming RoofArt Special Edition on the Countryman. The vibrant and unique art style captured the essence and colorful spirit of the MINIfest experience.

The entertainment lineup featured Psycusix, Malaysia’s leading modern contemporary performance troupe, and artists from Merdekarya, enchanting the audience with their spectacular performances and soothing melodies.

To satisfy the gastronomic desires of festivalgoers, MINIfest curated 14 renowned food vendors from Tiffin at the Yard, serving a delightful assortment of MINI-themed delectable delights.

However, the highlight of the event was the MINI Garage, where attendees had the opportunity to explore the rich history and evolution of the MINI brand. The exhibition showcased the legacy of MINI vehicles, from the MINI Classic to the MINI Paceman JCW R61, highlighting the brand’s innovative transformation throughout the years.

For those interested in electric vehicles (EVs), the MINI Electric Showcase provided valuable insights and reassurances about the convenience of charging and living with an electric MINI vehicle in Malaysia. The booth, in collaboration with JomCharge, offered comprehensive information about charging facilities and apps available throughout the country, aiming to reduce customer anxieties surrounding EV ownership.

Additionally, attendees had the exclusive opportunity to experience exhilarating test drives for two of the latest MINI models – The MINI 3-Door Hatch Cooper SE and the MINI Countryman, immersing themselves in the cutting-edge features, agile handling, and exceptional performance that are unique to MINI vehicles.
