Mercedes-Benz Malaysia Training Academy is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the Advanced Modern Apprenticeship program for 2023. This highly sought-after program provides an exceptional opportunity for ambitious young Malaysians to launch their careers as Passenger Car Technicians with one of the world’s most renowned companies.
Having started in 1984, the Mercedes-Benz Malaysia Training Academy has successfully trained over 900 apprentices, who have gone on to hold various positions within the brand’s authorized dealer network, specializing in different areas. Since 2017, the program has been receiving an average of 500 applicants annually, a testament to its popularity and reputation.
The three-year apprenticeship course offers a comprehensive curriculum aligned with globally approved syllabuses and training guidelines established by Mercedes-Benz Global Training. It incorporates Mercedes-Benz Competence elements, ensuring that trainees undergo continuous development within the brand. The program includes International Qualifications up to Level 3, recognized by the Department of Skills Development under the Ministry of Human Resources.
In line with Mercedes-Benz’s global strategy and focus on electric vehicles, the program has introduced a new module called Qualified High-Voltage Technician (QHV), designed to train and prepare participants for the future demands of the mobility landscape. This addition reflects the brand’s commitment to staying at the forefront of automotive technology.
Upon successful completion of the Advanced Modern Apprenticeship program, participants will receive certifications in various specializations, such as SKM Level 3, C&G VRQ Level 3, Qualified Maintenance Technician (QMT), Qualified System Technician (QST), Qualified Bodywork Technician (QBT), or Qualified High-Voltage Technician (QHV), depending on their chosen specialization. Additionally, participants will acquire a diverse skill set, including presentation skills, critical analysis, decision-making, and systematic thinking, all essential for automotive technicians specializing in systems and high-voltage technology.
One of the standout features of this program is the guaranteed employment opportunity upon completion, with a minimum salary in the first year and incremental growth prospects thereafter. The entire course will take place at the state-of-the-art Mercedes-Benz Malaysia Training Academy located in Bandar Kinrara, Puchong, ensuring a conducive learning environment for apprentices.
