Isuzu recently updated the standard equipment on their D-Max pick-up truck range, which enhances the safety and convenience of the vehicle ownership. The entire Isuzu double cab lineup will now come equipped with reverse cameras as a standard feature. This inclusion is set to eliminate the challenges associated with parking, especially when transporting bulky loads that the D-Max is well-suited for.
Previously, only the range-topping X-Terrain and high-specification Premium variants boasted this feature. However, Isuzu has responded to the demands of traders who sought the added security provided by this parking aid in their trucks. Consequently, the base Standard 1.9-litre models now also receive reverse cameras as standard.
Isuzu has achieved a notable milestone as the first manufacturer in Malaysia to offer reverse cameras as a standard feature across its entire double cab pick-up truck range. The reverse camera is seamlessly integrated into a receptacle beside the tailgate handle, transmitting crystal-clear images to a new 7-inch touch screen infotainment head unit found in the 1.9-litre Standard model. This unit also provides Bluetooth connectivity, enabling music playback when paired with modern smartphones.
In response to the growing demand for personal communication devices, the 1.9-litre Standard models now come with two built-in USB ports at the front – one Type A and one Type C. This expanded charging capability offers more options for occupants to keep their devices powered. The exterior of the new 1.9-litre Standard models stands out with body-colored door and tailgate handles, replacing the previous silver-colored handles.
The enhanced Isuzu D-Max 1.9-litre Standard model is available with either a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox, and it comes with a marginal price increase of RM1,500.00 compared to the outgoing variant. Prices for the Isuzu D-Max range start from RM 105,599.20 on the road without insurance in Peninsular Malaysia.
