Aston Martin Kuala Lumpur recently unveiled their latest offering not long after having its international debut. The Aston Martin DB12 quickly found its way into the Malaysian market with a price of RM 1,088,000 before tax. The new DB12 is Aston Martin’s 1st super tourer that is meant to bring a new milestone to the Aston Martin brand.
The DB12 is powered by a hand-built 4.0-litre Twin-Turbo V8 engine, which has been further tuned by Aston Martin engineers especially for the DB12. This engine has the ability to produce 680PS at 6,000RPM and 800Nm of peak torque from 2,750rpm to 6,000rpm. This engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission with a torque converter, and there will be an Electronic Rear Differential (E-Diff) to help efficiently deliver the power between the rear wheels. This engine allows the DB12 to accelerate from 0-100km/h in just 3.6 seconds, and to a top speed of 325km/h. 
To help the DB12 handle the power from the engine, it has been fitted with a new generation intelligent adaptive dampers. These adaptive dampers works hand in hand with the well calibrated Electronic Power Assisted Steering system (EPAS). As for braking, the DB12 gets standard 400mm front discs and 360mm rear disc made out of cast iron. If you need even more stopping power, you can opt for the optional Carbon Ceramic Brakes (CCB) that is lighter and more heat resistant than the cast iron discs. 
The DB12 come with 21-inch alloy wheels with 3 design variations and a palette of colors and finishes to choose from. These rims are wrapped in the new Michelin Pilot Sport 5S tyres that was specially created by Michelin for the DB12. These tyres will get the special AML’ codes to make sure that this is not an off-the-shelf alternatives.
The new DB12 boasts a timeless elegance reflected in its bold and assertive design. The front end features distinctive LED headlights with striking daytime running lamp (DRL) signatures and intricate surface detailing, giving the car a wider and more commanding stance. The iconic Aston Martin grille and muscular contours amplify its presence, accentuated further by widening the front and rear tracks by 6mm and 22mm respectively. 
Inside the DB12, the dedication to performance-driven aesthetics seamlessly blends with the brand’s renowned craftsmanship, while embracing cutting-edge on-board technology. A noteworthy milestone is the debut of Aston Martin’s next-generation infotainment system, entirely designed and developed in-house. This bespoke system comes with a 10.25-inch high-resolution touchscreen and supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The standard audio setup comprises 11 speakers, while true audiophiles can opt for the 15-speaker, 1,170W surround sound system, and a result of collaboration with Bowers & Wilkins.
