Sime Darby Motors has taken significant steps to strengthen its position in the fast-growing electric vehicle (EV) market. By appointing 14 dealer partners, the company has expanded its dealership network and now boasts a total of 21 BYD outlets across the country.
The dealership appointments were marked by a special group signing ceremony held at BYD Headquarters in Shenzhen, China. During the event, Jeffrey Gan, Managing Director of Sime Darby Motors Retail & Distribution Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, and Macau, signed agreements with each of the dealer owners. The ceremony was attended by Liu Xueliang, General Manager of BYD Asia Pacific Auto Sales Division, Eagle Zhao, Managing Director of BYD Malaysia, and the BYD team.
To offer the new dealer partners valuable insights into BYD’s operations, the group was given an exclusive tour of BYD’s Headquarters. This provided them with a firsthand look at the company’s impressive research and development (R&D) capabilities, as well as its diverse and cutting-edge range of innovative products.
