Alongside the A-Class family, Mercedes Benz Malaysia also unveiled the Mercedes-AMG SL 43. The SL is Mercedes iconic roadster, and it feature 70-year development history, transitioning from a racing car to a luxury sports car. The new Mercedes-AMG SL 43 has an estimated price of RM 1,000,000.
The new SL 43 is the entry-level model in the series, it features an electric exhaust gas turbocharger that took the technology from Formula 1. The front end of the SL has an AMG-specific radiator grille, and the design language enhances its appearance from all angles. Just like it’s previous model, the new SL come with a a long wheelbase, short overhangs, a long bonnet, a passenger compartment set further back, and a powerful rear end. 
Being a roadster, the SL comes with a fabric roof that can be opened or closed in approximately 15 seconds. This operation can be done with up to speeds of 60 km/h. The SL 43 is equipped with DIGITAL LIGHT, sports suspension, an integrated automatically extending rear wing, and the Driving Assistance Package and Parking package with reversing camera. 
On the inside, the new SL43 comes with the “Hyperanalogue” design, which combines analogue geometry with digital elements. In front of the driver, there is a full digital instrument cluster with a three-dimensional visor, providing various display styles and modes. The instrument panel are divided into upper and lower sections, with four galvanised turbine nozzles merging into the panel as power domes. 
In this driver focus cockpit, there is a high-resolution 12.3-inch LCD screen integrated into a high-tech visor to prevent reflections from sunlight. The large LCD screen can be adjusted electrically to tilt between 12 to 32 degrees to avoid light reflection when the soft top is open. Additionally, this car also comes with a heads up display with MBUX augmented reality for navigation. The SL 43 also comes with AMG Performance steering wheel in nappa leather, AMG steering wheel buttons, electrically adjustable luxury seats in NAPPA leather black, and AMG aluminium trim. 
As standard, the SL 43 comes with a sports suspension using multi-link front axle with five links arranged within the rim, improving kinematics. The rear axle is also a 5 link suspension design. The SL43 is powered by a 2.0L turbocharged engine with 381 hp, and a peak torque of 480 Nm. This engine has the ability to accelerate from 4.9 seconds, and to a top speed of 275 km/h. 
For those who are interested, the SL43 will be available in a variety of options of individualization and customization. There are twelve paint finishes available, including exclusive colors such as hyper blue metallic and MANUFAKTUR monza grey magno.
