Setel recently got selected as one of the e-Wallet service providers for the eBeliaRahmah programme. This appointment aims to support the government’s initiatives in alleviating financial burdens and promoting cashless payments among Malaysian youths.
Starting from June 26th until August 31st, 2023, eligible individuals, including Malaysian youths aged 18 to 20 and full-time students enrolled at higher education institutes (IPT) in Malaysia, can claim a one-off RM200 credit through the Setel app as part of the eBeliaRahmah programme.
To apply for the RM200 one-off credit, eligible youths must download or update the Setel app to the latest version and complete the account verification process through e-KYC starting from June 26th, 2023. Upon successful application, the credited amount will be transferred to the user’s eBeliaRahmah Wallet within the Setel app. Users will be notified through push notifications and app inbox messages.
The RM200 credit can be utilized for purchases at any retail store accepting Setel and DuitNow QR codes, as well as PETRONAS stations nationwide. It is important to note that the credit must be utilized by August 31st, 2023, and cannot be transferred to other e-Wallet accounts.
