Seong Hoe Premium Motors, the longest-serving BMW Group Malaysia dealer in Malacca, has launched a new MINI Charging Facility. This new MINI Charging Facility is located in Kota Syahbandar to cater to the increasing demand for electrified vehicle infrastructure in the historic city.
The facility is situated at the main entrance of Bank of China on Jalan KSB 1, Taman Kota Syahbandar, just two kilometres from the popular Jonker Street, and features four parking lots with two Stellar40 40kW DC chargers and two Nexus 22kW AC chargers powered by ChargeSini. The DC chargers offer charging rates of RM1.20 per kWh or RM0.80 per minute, while the AC charger rates range from RM0.07 per minute at 3.7kw to RM0.40 per minute at 22kW. Users are required to pay a minimum fee of RM5 upon booking confirmation.
Seong Hoe Premium Motors’ new MINI Charging Facility is part of BMW Group Malaysia’s network of over 1,000 charging facilities. BMW Group Malaysia has partnerships with ChargEV and Yinson Greentech that provide access to more than 400 of these facilities, while its partnership with JomCharge provides access to over 100 charging facilities. The company has also teamed up with Gentari, Shell Recharge with ParkEasy, ChargeN’Go, ChargeSini, Go To-U and FlexiParking to provide access to approximately 160 more charging facilities. 
Most authorised BMW and MINI dealerships across the country offer over 100 BMW i and MINI charging facilities, with more to come as part of the company’s infrastructure expansion plan for the year ahead.
