After much teasing, BMW Malaysia finally officially launched their latest generation 7-series in Malaysia. This latest 7-series will come with 2 different variants, the BMW 750e xDrive M Sport and BMW 750e xDrive Pure Excellence. These 2 variants will be assembled here in Malaysia and it will be priced at RM 649,800.00 for the BMW 750e xDrive Pure Excellence, and RM 700,000.00 for the BMW 750e xDrive M Sport.

With the new generation 7-series, it allows customers to customize their 7-series to give it a unique look. Both variants will feature daytime running lights with BMW Iconic Glow crystal headlights and Swarovski crystal. Beside the headlights, there is the BMW Iconic Glow kidney grille that features the contour lighting with LED elements. Additionally, there are LED lighting units that are part of the Great Entrance Moments, which is a light show for passengers,

At the front, there is a tall and upright design, and the number plate is now lower than before. One of the stand out features for the all new 7 Series is that it has automatic doors to allow people to get in and out the vehicle easily. For the added comfort level at the back, all 7 series variants come in extended wheelbase for more interior space.

On the M Sport variant, it comes exclusively with M high-gloss Shadowline, M side sills, M front and rear aprons, and Style 907 bicolour 20-inch M aerodynamic wheels. But on the Pure Excellence variant, there are the Style 903 19-inch double spoke alloy wheels. At the back, the new 7 series sports the new L-shaped taillights and emphasizes width with horizontal lines. And to keep the reverse camera clean, BMW also integrated a washer nozzle into the BMW logo. To finish it all off, the 7 series comes with a large boot space that measured in at 575L.

On the inside, the new 7 series comes with a new flat-bottomed two-spoke steering wheel for the Pure Excellence variant, and the M Sport variant gets a flat-bottomed three-spoke steering wheel. On the dashboard, there is the BMW Curved Display with a 12.3-inch Infotainment Display and a 14.9-inch Control Display. There is also the new backlit BMW Interaction Bar, which resembles a piece of crystal jewelry, creating a luxurious ambiance.

Inside the M Sport variant, it adds the M signature high gloss fine-wood trim in fineline black with metal effect highlights, while the Pure Excellence variant has a fine-wood trim oak mirror finish with gray metallic highlights. There are also the CraftedClarity crystal glass trim in various elements such as the switch for seat adjustment, BMW Controller, volume control, Start/Stop button, and gear selector switch.

Standard on all 7 series, there are the Bowers & Wilkins Surround Sound System and My Modes options, including ‘Relax’ and ‘Expressive,’ which enhance personal well-being and driving experience. To enhance the in-car experience, the Sky Lounge panoramic glass roof offers a clear view of the sky and has exclusive light graphics created by LED modules. And to top it all off, the Executive Lounge Seating feature with individual adjustment and the BMW Theatre Screen adds to the experience. The BMW Theatre Screen consists of  a 31.3-inch panoramic screen for rear seat passengers with 8K resolution and an integrated surround sound system. This system can be controlled via the BMW Touch Command, a touchscreen control panel in the rear doors.

Powering the 750e will be the 3.0L 6 cylinder engine with BMW TwinPower Turbo technology. This engine is mated to a plug-in hybrid system, with a battery capacity of 22.1kWh and mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. In total, this powertrain has the ability to produce 489hp and 700Nm of torque to all 4 wheels through the BMW xDrive intelligent all-wheel-drive system. This powertrain can allow the 750e to accelerate from 0-100km/h in just 4.8 seconds, and to a top speed of 250km/h.

Both variants of the new 7 Series will now come standard with Parking Assistant Plus, BMW Live Cockpit Professional with Head-up Display, and four-zone automatic air conditioning. Other than that, there are also other safety features include ABS, Dynamic Stability Control, flat tire monitor, and brake assist. The new 7 series will come in Oxide Grey Metallic, Black Sapphire Metallic, and Mineral White Metallic. As for the M Sport variant, there is the exclusive M Brooklyn Grey Metallic option, while the Pure Excellence will get an exclusive Sophisto Grey Metallic option. Upholstery options include BMW ‘Merino’ leather in Black or BMW ‘Merino’ leather in Tartufo for both variants of the All-New BMW 7 Series.
