Wheelcorp Premium has launched a new charging facility for MINI electric vehicles in Kota Kemuning, which aims to improve access to charging infrastructure for EV owners in the area. The new facility is located in the Sanctuary Mall @ Eco Sanctuary, a local mall developed by Eco World Development Group Berhad. Representatives from MINI Malaysia, Wheelcorp Premium, Eco Sanctuary, and JomCharge were present for the facility’s opening.
The MINI Charging Facility comprises two parking lots and two charging stations: a 50kW DC charger with two DC holders and a 22kW AC charger, both powered by JomCharge. The facility is open to the public at Sanctuary Mall @ Eco Sanctuary, Selangor, with a standard rate of RM1.20 per minute of use.
The launch of the new charging facility is part of BMW Group Malaysia’s plan to develop the necessary infrastructure for charging electric vehicles in partnership with local partners, dealers, and key charging providers. BMW Group Malaysia has already made over 670 charging facilities available for EV owners, with access to more than 360 of these facilities provided through partnerships with ChargEV and Yinson Greentech. The partnership with JomCharge provides access to over 70 charging facilities, while Gentari offers approximately 150 facilities. In addition, over 100 BMW i and MINI charging facilities are available at authorized dealerships and partnering venues throughout the country, with more to come as part of the strategic infrastructure expansion plan set for the year ahead.
