UMW Toyota Motor achieved record-breaking sales for the first quarter of 2023, with 9,026 units sold for Toyota and 110 units for Lexus in March 2023 alone. Total sales for the month of March stood at 9,136 units for both Toyota and Lexus, compared to February’s 9,297 units. Year-to-date sales for March 2023 were 25,219 units, an increase of 12% from the previous year’s 22,447 units.
The All-New Toyota Vios was unveiled in March, featuring improved performance, quicker acceleration, and new technology, making it an appealing option for customers seeking a dependable, efficient, and affordable car.
In other news, UMW Toyota Motor organized a tree-planting event in Tanjung Tuan, Melaka, as part of the UMW Green Shoots Initiative in partnership with the Malaysian Nature Society. The initiative supports the National 100 Million Trees Planting Campaign and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals while aligning with Toyota Motor Corporation’s commitment to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. 
Volunteers from various universities and the public planted mangrove saplings to restore the mangrove swamp ecosystem in Tanjung Tuan, which was damaged by an oil spill in 2020, contributing to offsetting CO2 emissions in Malaysia.
