The multifunction sports steering wheel will be wrapped in nappa leather, and it has a unique design with double spokes and a flattened bottom section. The dashboard has a wing-like profile with flattened round nozzles and a lower section with a curved metal-structure finish centre console. The 12.3-inch high-resolution display screens in front of the driver and the 11.9-inch central display are angled towards the driver, making it easier to control vehicle and comfort functions.

Running the latest generation of MBUX, the new GLC will be more digital and intelligent than before. The full-screen navigation equipped with MBUX Augmented Reality offers the best possible route guidance, especially in urban areas. The Burmester 3D surround sound system with 15 speakers offers high-quality personalized music experience. The luggage capacity has increased significantly to 620L, and the GLC has the EASY-PACK tailgate as standard.

Powering the GLC 300 4Matic will be powered by a 2.0L 4 cylinder turbocharged engine, and the engine power is sent to all 4 wheels through the 9-speed automatic transmission and 4Matic all-wheel drive system. The new GLC will be fitted with a 48V mild hybrid system. And to provide a balance ride and handling, the new GLC uses a new four-link suspension at the front and a multi-link independent rear suspension mounted to a subframe.

The latest GLC comes with GUARD 360° Vehicle protection that ensures complete monitoring of the vehicle’s surroundings. This includes features like a break-in and anti-theft alarm system with tow-away protection. The Active Lane Keeping Assist is a vigilant observer that constantly monitors the lane guidance, and if it detects any potential danger, the assistance system can proactively intervene and correct the steering. Additionally, the GLC boasts other noteworthy safety features, such as Blind Spot Assist, Active Brake Assist, and the PRE-SAFE system, among others.

To make sure the GLC can handle the rough stuff, the new GLC will come with an off-road driving mode and DSR for downhill speed regulation. In off-road mode, a virtual view of the front of the vehicle, including the steering position and front wheels, is displayed on the central screen. This helps drivers to spot obstacles like potholes and stones in advance. The two displays provide information such as inclination, gradient, altitude, geo-coordinates, compass, road speed, and engine speed. The central display also shows the SUV’s position on the terrain, front and rear wheel steering angles, and driving functions relevant for off-road use.
