Setel has launched a lightweight version of its app called Setel Lite, in line with its goal of continuously innovating for inclusive mobility. This version is optimized for Android devices with Android 4.4 or EMUI 3 and above, and works well with slower internet connections like EDGE, 2G, and 3G.
Setel Lite offers a simplified and seamless refuelling experience to users, while keeping key functionalities such as paying for fuel with the Setel Wallet, earning up to 3x Mesra points with fuel purchases, and checking Mesra points through the app. Users can top up their Setel Wallet through cash via e-voucher, available for purchase at PETRONAS stations nationwide, or through online banking.
Setel Lite is designed to be easy to use, with a simplified interface and larger fonts and buttons, making it accessible to all users, including the elderly. It also operates smoothly with basic or slower mobile internet connections, without taking up much phone memory space. Setel Lite is safe to use at petrol stations, as it has been tested and monitored in accordance with PETRONAS Health, Safety & Environment guidelines.
Setel Lite is currently available at PETRONAS stations nationwide, with refuelling being the first feature introduced in this version. More features will be rolled out progressively.
