Setel, known for transforming refuelling experiences at petrol stations, is expanding its services to redefine mobility by providing seamless payment experiences across its users’ daily journeys. The integration of DuitNow QR with Setel Pay in the app will increase cashless payment acceptance for users. This integration, operated by Payments Network Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (PayNet), also benefits existing DuitNow merchants by granting them access to Setel’s active user base.
With the integration, Setel users can now scan and pay at any merchant displaying the DuitNow QR code. By the end of the year, Setel users will also be able to send and receive funds using DuitNow and generate their own DuitNow QR code to facilitate e-wallet fund transfers.
Between March 30, 2023, and May 31, 2023, Setel users will earn Mesra points for every payment made using DuitNow, which can be redeemed for fuel and other rewards. Accessing the feature is simple; users can tap on the “Pay” tab on the app homepage, then scan the DuitNow QR code, enter the payment amount, and submit.
