Millennium Welt and Matrix Concepts Holdings Berhad (MCHB) have launched their first charging facility for BMW, MINI, and BMW Motorrad brands in the state of Negeri Sembilan. The new facility is aimed at promoting the development of infrastructure necessary for charging electric vehicles (EVs) in Malaysia.
Located at the main entrance parking of d’ Tempat Country Club in Bandar Sri Sendayan, Seremban, and the new facility features an 11kWh Wallbox powered by ChargeEV. Its introduction is set to enhance access to charging infrastructure for EV owners within and around Seremban, contributing to BMW Group Malaysia’s vision of providing better charging facilities for EVs.
The new charging facility offers a standard rate of RM5 for every 20 minutes of use and is open to the public daily from 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM. BMW Group Malaysia has partnered with several local dealers and charging providers like ChargEV, Yinson Greentech, JomCharge, and Gentari to offer over 670 charging facilities to EV owners in Malaysia.
In addition to the new charging facility, over 100 BMW i and MINI charging facilities are available at authorized dealerships and partnering venues across the country. As part of the strategic infrastructure expansion plan for the year ahead, more charging facilities are expected to be added in the future. The new MINI Charging Facility is just one of many initiatives aimed at developing the infrastructure required for charging EVs, thus supporting Malaysia’s transition towards sustainable transportation.
