BMW Malaysia recently unveiled their first-ever BMW XM here in Malaysia, and it will be priced at a RM 1,398,800.00. The BMW XM is BMW’s high-performance SAV with electrified drive, using the BMW M Hybrid drive system to provide an enjoyable drive. The BMW XM will be produced at the BMW Group Spartanburg plant in the United States and first deliveries expected to start in June 2023.
For the exterior, the XM combines the design of BMW X models with the performance of a BMW M model. It has a bold and elegant appearance that goes beyond traditional car design. The car has M Aerodynamics Package and M High-Gloss Shadow Line as standard features, with the option to add Extended Contents for the Shadow Line profile. The car also has Adaptive LED headlights with High-beam Assistant as standard. At sitting between 2 headlights is the large kidney grille with illuminated contours and two power domes on the bonnet. The headlights are split into separate modules for daytime running lights and low/high beam. 
For the rear, the XM has a sloping roofline and a tapered all the way to the tailgate, with a nightgold-colored trim strip running parallel to the window line. There are also the flared wheel arches, L-shaped taillights, and twin tailpipes arranged vertically to create a unique interpretation of a signature M feature. And to complete the looks, the XM will come with 23-inch M Light-Alloy Wheels Star Spoke Style 923 M Bicolour Night Gold Accent (23-inch M Light-Alloy Wheels Star Spoke Style 923 M Bicolour Black Accent for Shadow Line profile) and a charger cap to signify its plug-in hybrid status. 
On the inside, the XM comes with carbon fibre trim finishers and a curved display with touch screen control. The driver can easily control all driving functions and data with a BMW driver orientation and M-specific displays. The XM has M leather steering wheel, seat belts, and multifunctional seats. The door panels and instrument panel have new vintage leather with a special finishing process. This SAV also features active seat ventilation, 4-zone automatic air conditioning control, and massage function for the driver and front passenger. 
Ambient light and BMW Iconic Sounds Electric create a nice atmosphere in the cabin, while the Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound System provides in-car entertainment. The rear of the cabin has a full-width rear seat bench that curves and encloses passengers, and the upholstery gives the space an exclusive lounge feel. Finally, the Alcantara headliner has a prismatic 3D structure that creates a unique sense of space and showcases the workmanship and comfort of the car. 
By combining a a powerful gasoline engine with an electric motor, the XM has the ability to provide strong performance while also provide good fuel efficiency. The XM has a total output of 653 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque, which can accelerate it from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds. It has an all-wheel drive system that helps with handling and traction, and comes with various driving modes to adjust to different surfaces. The XM’s suspension system and braking system are designed to improve handling and stability, while the battery has an full electric range of up to 88 km. The XM can be charged at an AC charging station and takes about 4 hours to fully charge. 
In terms of connectivity, the XM will come with a large 12.3-inch Information Display and a 14.9-inch Control Display that work together seamlessly to provide a clutter-free experience. The XM also has a Head-Up Display that allows drivers to keep their eyes on the road. With the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant and BMW Operating System 8, drivers can use natural speech to control the car’s features. Other digital features include BMW ID, BMW Gesture Control, Connected Package Professional I, and Smartphone Integration. Comfort Access allows for contactless unlocking of the car 
The XM will come standard with Driving Assistant Professional, which includes features such as Steering and Lane Control Assistant, Automatic Speed Limit Assist, Lane Change Assistant, Active Cruise Control with Stop&Go, Lane Departure Warning, Front/Rear Crossing Traffic Warning, Emergency Stop Assistant and Evasion Assistant. On the other hand, the standard Parking Assistant Plus includes Reversing Assist, Lateral Parking Aid, Active Park Distance Control, and Surround View system. Other safety features include the Attentiveness Assistant, Acoustic Protection for Pedestrians and Active Protection. 
The new XM will be available in Cape York Green, Carbon Black, Marina Bay Blue, Toronto Red, Mineral White, Black Sapphire and Dravit Grey. As for interior upholstery, available offerings include Leather Merino Deep Lagoon with exclusive contents, Leather Merino Silverstone with exclusive contents, Leather Merino Black and Leather Merino Sakhir Orange. The retail price for the BMW XM will be RM 1,398,800.00, and this include the Extended 5-Year Warranty & Service Package.
