BMW Malaysia has unveiled the latest addition to their line-up, the New BMW X7 xDrive40i Pure Excellence, which promises to bring Sheer Driving Pleasure to a whole new level in the premium SAV segment. This new model boasts improved digitalisation capabilities and a sleek design, which reflects BMW’s new luxury class design language.
For the 2023 update, the new X7 will come with the Pure Excellence package that adds on a refined frontal appearance. The updated SAV will get the distinctive split twin LED headlights, new front apron design with a new double-slat kidney grille design, and two chrome elements as frames for its central air intake. 
From the side, the new X7 has short overhangs, a long wheelbase, and elongated lines that define its silhouette. This is complemented by roof rails, exterior line in satinated aluminium and sleek light alloy wheels that flank the luxury SAV. At the rear, the new X7 features three-dimensional taillights with a completely redesigned internal graphics layout, and the glass-covered chrome strip connecting the two taillights to complete the modern look of the new X7. 
Just like all current generation BMW, the new X7 will boast the new BMW Curved Display, which includes a 12.3-inch Information Display and 14.9-inch high-resolution touchscreen Control Display. The luxury SAV is fitted with ‘Lindenwood Fineline’ fine wood trim, sport leather steering wheel, M Headliner ‘Alcantara’ anthracite, and ambient light strip. Additionally, there are the Crafted Clarity trim features handmade elements made from cut crystal glass. 
Furthermore, the new X7 is now available in a 6-seater configuration with two individual seats in the second row. The seats feature the new Sensafin upholstery with decorative stitching, which aligns with BMW Group’s sustainability ambitions. To brighten the interior, there is a large panoramic glass roof on top of the 1st and 2nd row of the vehicle. With the third-row seat folded down, the New BMW X7 provides up to 750L of boot space for luggage. 
Powering the new X7 will be the 3.0L in-line six engine now come with a 48-Volt starter generator system, which made this vehicle a mild hybrid vehicle. This power has the ability to produce 375hp and 540 Nm of torque, which can propel the large SAV from 0-100km/h in 0.3s faster to 5.8s, and to a top speed of 250km/h. 
Ride and handling for the new X7 is handled by standard double-wishbone front axle, a five-link rear axle, and a two-axle air suspension with automatic level control. The new X7 also come with rear-wheel steering, which ensures maximum manoeuvrability at low speeds and agile handling at medium speeds. To further improve the luxury interior, the Executive Drive Pro ensures a smooth and balanced riding experience 
The new X7 will be running the latest BMW Operating System 8 and BMW Live Cockpit Plus. The vehicle systems can be controlled using the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant, the multifunction buttons on the steering wheel, the BMW iDrive Controller, as well as touchscreen and gesture control. The BMW Live Cockpit Professional, which features the BMW Head-Up Display as standard. 
In terms of driver assistance systems, the new X7 will come with Parking Assistant Professional and Driving Assistant, which are included as standard. The Driving Assistant is equipped with several features, such as Lane Departure Warning, Lane Change Warning with active steering interventions, and Front Collision Warning with brake intervention, Rear Crossing Traffic Warning, Rear Collision Prevention with exit warning, Speed Limit Info, and manual Speed Limit Assist. 
The New BMW X7 xDrive40i Pure Excellence will be priced at RM 654,800.00 and is available in a variety of exterior colours, including Sparkling Copper Grey Metallic, Blue Ridge Mountain Metallic, Skyscraper Grey Metallic, Mineral White Metallic, and Black Sapphire Metallic. Additionally, the new Sensafin upholstery is available in Sensafin Black and Sensafin Cognac.
