Following the launch of the updated BMW 320i M Sport, BMW 330i M Sport, and BMW 330e M Sport variants, BMW Malaysia recently add another 2 more variants to their 3-Series line-up. The 2 new variants are the BMW M340i xDrive and BMW 330Li M Sport. This 2 new models will be showcasing the 3 Series’ adaptability and ability to meet diverse driving needs.

Starting with the M340i xDrive, it gets a more expressive design compared to its predecessor. Notably, it features hexagonal kidney grilles inspired by motor racing and state-of-the-art Adaptive LED headlights with High-Beam Assistant. The side view of the car is accentuated with M exterior mirrors, 19-inch M Light Alloy Wheels in Double-Spoke Style 791 M Bicolour, and M Sport Brakes in Blue High-Gloss.

At the back, the M Rear-Spoiler and free-form design exhaust tips at the rear of the vehicle emphasize its commanding sportiness, which is also seen in the 330Li M Sport that comes with slimmed-down LED headlights and an elongated silhouette with 18-inch M Alloy Wheels in Double-Spoke Style in 848 M Bicolour. As standard, both the M340i xDrive and 330Li M Sport are equipped with the M Aerodynamics Package and M High-Gloss Shadowline.

To further accentuate the sportiness of the M340i xDrive, the M Sport Pro variant is also available, which includes exterior features such as 19-inch M Light Alloy Wheels in Double-Spoke Style 792 M Bicolour Jet Black, M lights Shadowline, M Sport brake callipers in High-Gloss Red, M High-gloss Shadow Line with extended contents, including kidney grille frame and slats in High-Gloss Black, and M Rear Spoiler in Black Sapphire.

Just like the other facelifted variants, the two new variants will also come with the BMW Curved Display, with a 12.3-inch Information Display and 14.9-inch touchscreen Control Display. These displays provide easy access to essential information and features, while the centre console features a neat layout with a minimalist toggle design for the classic gear selector.

For the M340i xDrive, it feature sport seats for both the driver and front passenger, with the driver’s seat also equipped with electric seat adjustment and memory function. Additionally, standard features include a hand-stitched M Leather Steering Wheel in Walknappa leather, M Headliner Anthracite, Aluminium Rhombicle Anthracite M Interior Trim, Storage Compartment Package, automatic air conditioning, ambient light, interior rear-view mirror with automatic anti-dazzle function, electric glass roof, and the Harman Kardon Surround Sound system. The M Sport package Pro is an optional add-on for the all-wheel drive sedan that also includes M colour-lined M seat belts.

And for the 330Li M Sport, it comes with an electric seat adjustment with memory function for the driver’s seat, emphasizing the sedan’s luxury-focus. Standard features include Interior Trim Finishers Combination Back High-Gloss/Aluminium, Galvanic embellishers for controls, Instrument Panel in Sensatec, and a panorama glass roof. The M Leather Steering Wheel and M Headliner Anthracite represent the vehicle’s sporty aspect, while other interior features include the Storage Compartment Package, three-zone automatic air conditioning, ambient light, and interior rear-view mirror with automatic anti-dazzle function. In-car entertainment is provided by the HiFi loudspeaker system.

Both of the 3 Series will come with BMW’s sporty heritage with emphasizes on performance through a 50/50 front/rear weight distribution, wide track, high body rigidity, low center of gravity, and advanced chassis technology. Powering the M340i M xDrive is BMW’s famous straight-six petrol engine producing a maximum of 387 hp and an impressive 500 Nm of torque. With this engine, the sports sedan can go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 250 km/h. On the other hand, the New BMW 330Li M Sport is powered by a straight-four petrol engine that can generate a maximum of 258 hp and 400 Nm of torque. It can go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.2 seconds, with a top speed of 250 km/h.
Both the all-wheel-drive M340i xDrive and the rear-wheel-drive 330Li M Sport comes standard with an eight-speed Steptronic Sport transmission. The New BMW 330Li M Sport is equipped with a comfort suspension, while the New BMW M340i xDrive, being the more sport-oriented variant, and has additional features such as the M Sport Differential, Adaptive M Suspension, and Variable Sport Steering.

On top of that, the 2 new 3 Series will come with the BMW Live Cockpit Professional, which includes the BMW Head-Up Display, powered by the latest version of the BMW Operating System 8. The intuitive control system allows drivers to interact with the vehicle in a variety of ways, including touchscreen operation through the Control Display, natural language function with the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant, BMW iDrive Controller, and touch-only direct access controls.

Standard digital features for the M340i xDrive and the 330Li M Sport include Comfort Access, Remote Software Update, and BMW ID. The Connected Package Professional includes Remote Services, Smartphone Integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as other digital services. Both variants also offer connectivity features such as Intelligent Emergency Call, Teleservices, and ConnectedDrive Services.

To top it all off, the 2 3 Series will come with Parking Assistant and Driving Assistant as standard that include Park Assist, Active Park Distance Control (PDC), Lateral Parking Aid, and Reversing Assist Camera. Additionally, the camera- and radar-based Driving Assistant features standard Lane Departure Warning, Lane Change Warning, Front Collision Warning with brake intervention, Rear Crossing Warning with brake intervention, Rear Crossing Traffic Warning, Rear Collision Warning, Speed Limit Info, and manual Speed Limit Assist. Both variants also offer standard Cruise Control with Braking Function.

The new M340i xDrive and the new 330Li M Sport will be available in Alphine White, Black Sapphire, Melbourne Red, M Portimao Blue, M Brooklyn Grey, Skyscraper Grey, Carbon Black, and Mineral White. Interior upholstery options include Leather Vernasca in Black, Mocha, or Tacora Red for the M340i xDrive, and Mocha décor stitching for the 330Li M Sport. The M340i xDrive M Sport Pro features Alpine White, Black Sapphire, M Brooklyn Grey, and M Portimau Blue exterior colour options, and Leather Vernasca in Black or Tacora Red for the interior.

The New BMW M340i xDrive M Sport Pro will be priced at RM 396,800.00, and bookings can be made online with a pre-booking fee of RM3,000. This car will start delivery from August 2023 onwards. As for the BMW M340i xDrive and the 330Li M Sport, it will be priced at RM 391,800.00 and RM 325,800.00 respectively.
