In 2023, Volvo Car Malaysia will continue to move forward with their electrification ambitions to transform Malaysia into an electric vehicle hub. This ambition would see Volvo Cars export their cars to more countries such as the Vietnam and Philippines from just Indonesia.

And at the end of 2022, Volvo resume taking orders for the 2023 Volvo XC40 Recharge Pure Electric with a facelifted look alongside the launch of Volvo C40 Recharge Pure Electric.
This is in line with Volvo Car Malaysia’s plan of achieve 75% of its sales to come from their Recharge Pure Electric line-up by 2025 and to become a fully electric car company by 2030. To help electrify Malaysia, Volvo Car Malaysia also launch the ‘Online Sales’ platform to allow the company to sell cars directly to its customers. Interested buyers may find the step-by-step guide on Volvo Car Malaysia’s ‘Online Sales’ platform here.
Volvo Car Malaysia was the first luxury automotive car maker in Malaysia to offer a full range of Completely Knocked Down (CKD) plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV) and is also the first car manufacturer in Malaysia with a local assembly plant that assembles fully electric vehicles.
