Perodua finally unveiled the latest generation Perodua, and it comes with more advanced digital and safety features. The new Axia is available in 4 different variants, and Perodua managed to collect up to 6,500 of new bookings since 31st January 2023 onwards.
Among the 44,000 existing order, Perodua was able to convince 13,600 of its customers to convert to the latest model. Combining with the 6,500 bookings, Perodua has a total of 20,100 units on order on the launch of the vehicle. Perodua have a sales target of 5,700 units a month, which will expect to have an annual sales figure of 82,000 units.
The 4 different variant include G, X, SE and AV, and all variants will come standard with Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) and traction control, ABS with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Hill Start Assist and traction control. All variants will be powered by a 1.0L engine with with DCVT (Dual mode continuously various transmission), which will see an even better fuel economy of 23.2km/l.
At the higher end of the range, the SE and AV variants of the Axia will come with power-mode, LED day light running lamp (DRL), solar and security film and semi-bucket type with detachable headrest. To top it all off, the Axia AV variant will get exclusive features such as a 7-inch TFT (Thin-Film transistor) multi info display, a 9-inch display audio and semi-leather seats (2-tone) and six (6) airbags.
The all new Axia will come in five colours: Granite Grey, Lava Red, Glittering Silver, Ivory White and, introducing a new colour – Coral Blue. The Perodua Axia G will be priced at RM 38,600, the Perodua Axia X will be priced at RM 40,000, the Perodua Axia SE will be priced at RM 44,000, and the Perodua Axia AV will be priced at RM 49,500.
