Jaguar Land Rover Malaysia has finally launched the latest generation of the Range Rover in the Malaysian market. This new vehicle embodies the perfect blend of advanced technology and modern luxury, offering unparalleled refinement for every occupant. It is also the first model to feature Land Rover’s new flexible Modular Longitudinal Architecture (MLA-Flex) technology.
The Range Rover boasts a minimalist yet modern design, characterized by harmonious proportions, sleek surfaces, and sharp lines. The result is a strong, beautifully sculpted body with flush elements, smooth premium surfaces, and precise detailing. The use of the MLA-Flex body architecture also reduces the vehicle’s weight while enhancing its stiffness and aerodynamics. The latest model is now 75mm shorter than its predecessor and boasts a 50% improvement in chassis stiffness, reducing noise transmission into the cabin by 24%.
The vehicle also features new hidden-until-lit tail lights, a 10mm lower roofline, and fully flushed door handles to minimize air disturbance. Inside, the Range Rover boasts a modern and sophisticated interior, complete with a wireless charger, 13.1-inch Pivi Pro infotainment system with a curved floating glass touchscreen, and a 13.7-inch interactive Driver Display. The vehicle also has the ClearSight Ground View with a 3D Surround Camera, allowing drivers to “see through” the hood.
Comfort is a top priority in the new Range Rover, with the implementation of the third-generation Active Noise Cancellation technology. Using accelerometers and microphones on the outside of the vehicle, this technology creates quiet zones for the cabin occupants. The vehicle also features next-generation Electronic Air Suspension, which lowers the ride height at high speeds for better stability, and all-wheel steering for improved maneuverability and stability.
For the Malaysian market, only one powertrain option is available: the 4.4L V8 engine producing 530 PS of power, named the P530. It has a peak torque of 750 Nm from 1,800 to 4,600 RPM and is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission with twin-speed control for better off-road performance. The all-new Range Rover L460 starts at a price of RM1,268,000 for duty-free and RM2,488,000 for duty-paid. Bookings are now open. For more information, visit https://www.landrover.com.my/.
