With the return of the Audi brand in Malaysia, PHS Automotive Malaysia (PHSAM) recently previewed their latest e-tron range here. The 1st few models that will be arriving on our shores include the Q8 e-tron SUV and Sportback, and the flagship e-tron GT.

Starting with the Audi Q8 e-tron, it is Audi’s flagship electric SUV that was launch back in 2018 under the name of Audi e-tron. And in November 2022, Audi Germany changed the name of the Audi e-tron to Audi Q8 e-tron for a more streamline naming system. With a different name, Audi also face lifted the SUV. This put Malaysia as one of the 1st country in Asia to receive the updated vehicle.

For the Q8 e-tron SUV and Q8 Sportback e-tron, it will be available in 4 different variant. For the Q8 e-tron SUV and Q8 Sportback e-tron advanced 50, it’s powered by 2 electric motor producing 340 PS and 664 Nm of peak torque. This 2 variants has the ability to accelerate from 0-100km/h in 6.0 seconds. Both this variants will be powered by a 95kWh battery, but the Q8 Sportback e-tron gets 5km of range more than the Q8 e-tron SUV’s 410km.

The Q8 e-tron SUV come with Auxiliary air conditioning, Audi phone box light, Audi pre sense front and rear, and Adaptive cruise control. And for the Q8 Sportback e-tron, it will add on Matrix LED headlights, Black styling package, Brake calipers painted in red, Sports adaptive air suspension, and Sports seats. The Audi Q8 e-tron SUV is expected to be priced in between RM 369,000 to RM 379,000, and the Audi Q8 Sportback e-tron is expected to be priced in between RM 374,000 to RM 384,000.

For those who wanted more power, there are the Audi Q8 e-tron S line 55 Quattro and the Audi Q8 e-tron Sportback S line 55 Quattro. Both of the Q8 e-tron 55 will also come with 2 electric motor, but the power has been increased to 408 PS and 664 Nm of peak torque. The battery size has also been increased to 114 kWh, which allow the Q8 e-tron S line 55 quattro to travel a maximum range of 481 km, and the Q8 e-tron Sportback S line 55 Quattro has 6 km more than the regular SUV.

In terms of equipment, the Audi Q8 e-tron S line 55 will come with Singleframe projector lighting, Digital Matrix LED headlamps, Virtual exterior mirrors, 22kW on-board AC Charger, Panoramic glass sunroof, Heads-up display, B&O premium sound system, and Power latching for the doors. The Q8 e-tron Sportback S line 55 will add on Sports seats plus, Black styling package, Brake calipers painted in red, and Sports adaptive air suspension. The Audi Q8 e-tron S line 55 quattro is expected to be priced in between RM 456,000 to RM 466,000, and the Audi Q8 e-tron Sportback S line 55 quattro is expected to be priced in between RM 466,000 to RM 476,000.

Alongside the Audi Q8 e-tron, Audi Malaysia also launch the Audi e-tron GT Quattro with 2 different variants. The 2 variants are the regular variant and the other one with dynamic package. The Audi e-tron GT Quattro has a power output of 350 kW and 390 kW in boost mode, and 630Nm of peak torque and 640 Nm in boost mode. The e-tron GT can accelerate from 0-100km/h in 4.5 seconds, but boost mode can be decrease to 4.1 seconds. The e-tron GT has 2 electric motor and it’s linked to a 93kWh battery with a range of 458 km.

The e-tron GT will come with Black appearance package plus, 20-inch wheels with RS logo, Sports seats pro, e-tron sport sound, Quattro with open rear differential, Suspension system with damper control, and Adaptive cruise control. With the Dynamic Package, this variant will add on Matrix LED headlights with Audi laser light, Carbon roof, Steel brakes with tungsten carbide coating, red brake callipers, 22kW on-board AC charger, Interior in fine Nappa leather and Dinamica, B&O premium sound system with 3D sound, and heads-up display. The Audi e-tron GT Quattro is estimated to be priced in between RM 559,000 to RM 569,000, and the Dynamic package is estimated to be priced in between RM 633,000 to RM 643,000.

At the top of the line, Audi Malaysia also launch the 1st RS electric vehicle, the Audi RS e-tron GT. The RS e-tron GT has a power output of 598 PS with 646 PS in boost mode, and a peak torque of 640 Nm and the torque will be increased to 830 Nm in boost mode. The dual electric motor and battery capacity has not been changed from the regular e-tron GT, but the additional power do reduce the electric range to 447 km. The RS e-tron GT has the ability to accelerate from 0-100km/h in 3.6 seconds, but the boost mode will reduce the time to just 3.3 seconds.

The Audi RS e-tron GT will come with additional Glossy carbon appearance package, Decorative inserts in matte carbon twill, Adaptive air suspension, All-wheel steering, and Quattro with controlled rear differential lock on top of the equipment found on the regular e-tron GT. The top of the range Audi RS e-tron GT will be priced in between RM 749,000 to RM 769,000.

For a limited time, the Audi RS e-tron GT can be previewed at Audi’s showrooms in Glenmarie, Juru and Setia Alam. It will also be on display the upcoming Audi Showcase at 1Utama Shopping Centre later this month from the 22nd to 26th February 2023.
