To further boost the appeal and strengthen its position as one of Malaysia’s favorite trucks, Isuzu Malaysia has updated the D-Max for the 2023 model year. The updated D-Max will come with new colors and updated looks.

The flagship X-Terrain and Premium variants are receiving new body color options, with the most noteworthy addition being the trendy and chic Islay Gray Mica. Another new color is the Dolomite White Pearl, which offers a more lustrous sheen than the previous Silky Pearl White. In addition, the Automatic Premium, Auto Plus, and Automatic Standard variants will feature a new Biarritz Blue Metallic color, replacing the Sapphire Blue option.

Other than that, the exterior of the updated D-Max gets a new radiator grille, rims and some refreshed body accents that complete the sportier and more dynamic outlook. The interior of the vehicle has undergone a revamp with updated seat design and stylish black finishing across most of the product range. The flagship X-Terrain model stands out with its striking new-look seats that offer a notable contrast to the soft-touch surfaces finished in Café Brown.

To enhance the safety aspect, the front camera for the ADAS module has been updated to a 1440P camera. Isuzu also can turn the ADAS module into a Digital Video Recorder, which can record the video directly on to the onboard memory card. There is also a rear camera that link up to the ADAS module, and these video can be downloaded with a handphone app.

The other new feature is ambient lighting in the footwells of the X-Terrain, which adds a touch of class and convenience for passengers when entering or exiting the vehicle. In addition to this, the X-Terrain, Premium and Auto Plus models now have an improved wireless charger with a 15W output for faster recharging, and the former two models also have an additional USB-C port for rapid charging.

For those who use the Isuzu D-Max’s off-roading capabilities, there’s great news. The entire range of 4×4 variants now comes with an electronically-actuated rear differential lock. This feature offers additional traction on uneven terrain or slippery surfaces, providing peace of mind for off-roading enthusiasts.

Other updates include a new remote keyless entry access and a 12V power socket for the Single Cab variant. The 3.0-litre Premium Automatic variant has also received a revised suspension set-up that can handle heavier payloads, increasing from 580kg to 775kg, making it ideal for users in East Malaysia who require a vehicle with such capabilities.

The 2023 Isuzu D-Max range is now available at all authorized Isuzu showrooms. For more information on the new features and capabilities of the Isuzu D-Max, visit pickuptruck.isuzu.net.my or https://www.facebook.com/ISUZU.DMax.Malaysia/.
