In 2022, the automotive industry has to maximise its potential in order to meet customers’ expectations due to all the parts shortage and price hike. This shows that the capability of the local automotive industry to come together to advance the local automotive industry.

Based on Perodua’s 2022 sales, Perodua ends the year with to 289,054 units produced, which is 49.5% higher than 2021. In terms of its registration, Perodua saw 282,019 units registered in 2022 and it’s an increase of 48.2% compared to 2021. Perodua also see the aftersales intake grew by 30% to 2.6 million units.

According to Perodua, 2022 has been the best year for them by far. As an example, Perodua managed to produce and register an average of 1,000 vehicles in the month of December alone. And in 2023, Perodua will be focusing on leveraging the sales growth that they have achieved so far and to expand their capacity.

As of now, Perodua will be prioritizing in delivering the vehicles to those who have already booked their Perodua within the sales tax exemption period as the price for these vehicles will remain as per agreed until 31 March 2023 deadline.

Moving forward, Perodua will continue to introduce new technologies in its future products and services as well as to continue to invest in innovations in its operations. Apart from that, Perodua also encourage their suppliers and dealers to continue to invest in new technologies to be competitive and productive.
