Mercedes Benz Malaysia is ending the year by expanding their Mercedes Benz EQ range with the introduction of the all new Mercedes Benz EQE 350+. The EQE 350+ is Mercedes’s business saloon that is built based on the EVA 2 electric architecture, which is the same platform that Mercedes Benz built the EQS 450+ on.

Powering the EQE is a 90.56 kWh, which provides an impressive range of up to 669 km of WLTP rating. The electric motor is located at the rear wheels, and it only sends the power to the rear wheels. The lithium ion battery is made out of 10 models, and the battery is managed by an in-house management system that has the ability to be updated over-the-air. The electric motor has the ability to maximum power of 292bhp and a peak torque of 565Nm. The EQE can accelerate from 0-100km/h in 6.4 seconds and to a limited top speed of 210km/h.

In terms of charging, the EQE can charge from 10%-100% SOC in 8 hours 15 minutes using an 11kW AC charger. With the use of the DC charger, the EQE can charge from 10%-80% SOC in just 32 minutes using a 170kW charging facility.

For the interior, the EQE will come with the latest MBUX generation. The MBUX system will run an adaptive software, with controls and display concepts that can be personalized by the owners to suit their favorite look. Driving the EQE, the driver could change the deceleration settings in 3 different stages, which include D+, D, and Dthat can be changed through the shift paddles behind the steering wheel. There is also DAuto that can help provide the most efficient driving style.

The Navigation does come with Electric Intelligence plans that can allow the driver to plan the fastest and most convenient route, and it will calculate the route based on different factors such as traffic jams or a change in driving style. The MBUX infotainment system also has the ability to display the battery status.

Comfort wise, the EQE will provide the highest level of NVH comfort. This was mostly contributed by the electric drivetrain (eATS), where the eATS has a special foam mat all around as an NVH cover. This allows the eATS to double-decouple from the body via elastomeric bearings. The NVH level is also increased by the highly effective spring/mass components to provide continuous sound insulation from the crossmember under the windscreen to the floor of the boot. Acoustic foams are inserted into many carriers during body-in-white construction.

Other than that, the in-car entertainment is provided through the Burmester® surround sound system that has 2 different soundscapes, Silver Waves and Vivid Flux. Silver Waves is a sensuous and clean sound, and the Vivid Flux is a crystalline, synthetic yet humanly warm kind of sound environment. Additionally, the e Roaring Pulse sound experience is reminiscent of a powerful vehicle.

The EQE comes with a  rigid passenger cell, special deformation zones and modern restraint systems with PRE-SAFE®. Available as standard, the EQE is equipped with the Driving Assistance Plus package that includes Active Distance DISTRONIC, Active Stop-and Go Assist, Active Steering Assist with Hands-off warning and Active Lane Keeping Assist.

The all new Mercedes EQE 350+ will be priced at  RM 419,888, which is the on the road price that includes 10% sales tax. The EQE is now available on sale in all Mercedes Benz authorized dealerships, and those who are interested can visit https://www.mercedes-benz.com.my/passengercars/models/saloon/eqe/overview.html for more information.
