September is the month where we see businesses and economic activities are gradually returning to normal, and the Toyota’s sales figure confirm that. As of the 2nd half of August, the number of new vehicles produced, sold and delivered have been growing significantly.
For UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT), they manage to sell a total of 8,033 units of vehicles, which is an increase of 5,509 units over the August volume. This was made up of 7,931 Toyota vehicles and 102 Lexus vehicles. The volume was also 43% higher than for the same month in 2020 when 5,605 vehicles were sold.
Up till now, the sales figure of Toyota and Lexus in the year 2021 reach a total of 43,594 units at the end of September. Compare to the same 9 month of 2020, UMWT only manage to move a total of 25,978 units, an indication of the severity of the first Movement Control Order (MCO) during the second half of 2020.
To welcome visitors back to Toyota showrooms nationwide, UMWT is having a ‘Visit & Win’ promotion with a total of RM30,000 worth of prizes to be won.
