Proton has recently launch their own range of lubricants that is formulated exclusive for Proton cars. The Proton range of lubricants is available in 4 different grade in the Proton Genuine Oil (PGO) line up, dubbed PGO 1 to PGO 4, comprising fully synthetic, semi synthetic and mineral lubricants.
The PGO range of lubricants are formulated in close relationship with Petronas for Proton’s engine. The 4 different PGO is available in 5W30 SP, 5W30 SN, 10W30 SN and 15W40 SN viscosity levels with API SP and API SN ratings.
The lubricants are available at all authorised Proton service centres. The lubricants will also be available from parts stockists, though this is currently limited to only the PGO 3 and PGO 4. Prices for the PGO starts from RM 78 for the PGO4 up to the RM 163 for PGO 1.
