The new Audi RS 3 is set to come with the highest caliber driving dynamics with a high performance engine. The new RS 3 will also demonstrate its sporty DNA with a widened body, RS sports exhaust system, and cockpit displays.

Being the high performance car, the RS 3 will come with the award winning 2.5L TFSI engine that has the ability to produce 400PS and 500Nm of torque. Paired with 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, the RS 3 can accelerate from 0-100km/h in just 3.8 seconds, and top out at a limited 250km/h. On the launch edition and Vorsprung models, the top speed can be increase to 280 km/h. With the RS Dynamic package and ceramic brakes, the RS 3 can even hit speeds of 290km/h.

To give the driver a more enhanced driving the experience, the unique 1‑2‑4‑5-3 firing order pair with the fully variable flap exhaust system work in tandem to provide the sound characteristics. To further enhance the experience, owners could opt for the optional RS sports exhaust system.

To help the control torque delivery to the ground, the RS 3 will come standard with a torque splitter. The new torque splitter system replaces the previous multiple disc clutch package to an electronically controlled multiple disc clutch is used on each of the drive shafts. This system has the ability adjust the torque individually to help keeping the car stable in the corners, while reducing understeer. Drivers has the ability to choose the suitable driving mode to suit their driving style. The options includes comfort, auto, dynamic, RS Individual, and efficiency.

At each corner, the RS sports suspension have been newly developed shock absorbers and a valve system that was specifically tune for the RS 3. This suspension has the ability to respond to different driving situation faster and more effectively. The RS sport suspension plus with adaptive damper control is available as an option, which can continuously and individually adjusts each shock absorber to the road conditions, the driving situation, and the mode selected in Audi drive select.

For the brakes, the RS 3 comes standard with a newly developed six-piston steel brakes. For those who wanted more braking performance, there is the 380mm ceramic brake system available as an option. For those who decided to opt for the ceramic brakes, they can further choose in between grey, red, or blue brake caliper colours. The steel brakes is available in either red or black caliper colours.

On launch, the Audi RS 3 is available in standard, Carbon, Launch Edition and Vorsprung specifications. In the front, the wide RS bumper, the redesigned Singleframe with its distinctive honeycomb grille, and the large air intakes gives it a more sporty appearance. LED headlights and LED taillights with dynamic turn signal lights is standard for the RS 3. On the Carbon, Lanch Edition and Vorsprung models, owners is able to enjoy the Matrix LED headlights with darkened bezels that feature digital daytime running lights around their outer downturned angles.

At the side, the 1st thing that will catch people’s attention is the flared wheel arches that gives the car the sporty look from the side. The flared wheel arches not only to gives it the sporty look, it is meant to house the 33mm wider front track. On the Sportback variant, the rear axle track also has been increased by 10mm. The 19-inch cast wheels in a 10-Y spoke design complete the looks at the side. Finally, the rear will come with RS-specific rear bumper with integrated diffuser and the RS exhaust system with two large oval tailpipes.

For the interior, the 12.3-inch Audi virtual cockpit plus comes standard on all RS 3. Apart from the regular information, the Audi virtual cockpit plus will also display g-forces, lap times and acceleration from 0‑100 km/h, 0-200 km/h, quarter-mile, and eighth of a mile. For the manual transmission, the whole screen acts as a shift indicator by changing the colour of the rpm display when it’s time to shift gears. At the center, the 10.1-inch touch display for the “RS Monitor” will display the coolant, engine, and transmission oil temperatures as well as tire pressures. For the 1st time, the RS 3 will also available with a heads-up display to show the relevant information.

Lastly, the RS 3 will come standard with a three‑spoke RS Sport multifunctional leather steering wheel with a flattened bottom while at the back has the die-cast zinc shift paddles. With the Design package, the steering wheel will get a 12 o’clock stripe to indicate the straight ahead. On top of that, the wheels will include the new RS Mode button that allow the drivers to select the different drive modes.
