Hyundai Sime Darby Motors (HSDM) expands the Hyundai Staria range with the new 10 seater version of the MPV. The 10-seater Staria will be available in 3 different variants, Lite, Plus, and Max to suit the different types of buyers.
The 10-seater Staria is a vehicle designed for large families or businesses that require such vehicles. The seat layout for the 10-seater Staria is being split into 2-3-2-3 configuration, which makes the MPV versatile to create space for different needs. The seats in the Staria also have the ability to fold into a flat floor, and it will create a flat loading area to load up to 1,024L of cargo.
In terms of powertrain, the 10-seater Staria will be powered by the same powertrain as the 7-seater variant. It will be powered by the 2.2L CRDI diesel engine, mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. This engine had the ability to produce about 177PS of power, and a peak torque of 431Nm.
For the exterior, different variants get different exterior equipment. On the Lite variant, the front and rear lights are bulb type instead of the LED type seen on the Plus and Max variant. For the Lite and Plus variants, it will be equipped with 17-inch rims, and the tailgate is a manual tailgate. As for the Max variant, it will come with the larger 18-inch rims and auto tailgate that was seen on the 7-seater Staria.
On the inside, the Lite variant will come with the analogue instrument cluster with a 4.2″ LCD screen in the center. The Plus and Max will get the same 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, which was 1st seen on the 7-seater variant. At the center of the dashboard, all variants will come with the same 8-inch infotainment screen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Seat wise, the different variants will be wrapped in different materials. At the base, the Lite variant is wrapped in black fabric, for the Plus variant will be a semi leather seat in carbon colour, and the Max variant will come with black nappa leather seats. And for the safety systems, the Staria will come with Forward Collision Avoidance Assist (FCA), Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist (RCCA), Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) and Smart Cruise Control (SCC) with Stop and Go.
In terms of pricing, the Staria Lite will priced at RM 179,888.00, the Staria Plus will be priced at RM 196,888.00, and the Staria Max will be priced at RM 209,888.00. All prices are OTR price that come with standard 2-year or 50,000km warranty. To upgrade the 5-year or 300,000km warranty + 3-year or 50,000km Free Service, this will be priced at RM 10,000.00. On top of that, there are additional optional upgrade package, which adds on side steps (standard or electronic), rear roof infotainment, and Alcantara interior trim.
