TC Euro Cars (TCEC) announced that the new Renault Zoe is now on sale in Malaysia, and the car is now on display in Renault flagship showroom along Jalan Kemajuan in Seksyen 13, Petaling Jaya. The Zoe is Renault’s full electric city car, but now comes with increased power and range.
The new Zoe will now be available in 2 variants, the R110 and R135. For the Zoe R110, it was priced at RM163,000 with a maximum output of 80kW and 225 Nm of torque. As for the Zoe R135, it has a higher peak power of 100kW and maximum torque of 245 Nm. The Zoe R135 price is estimated at RM175,000.
Both of the Zoe R110 and R135 is powered by the same 52 kWh Z.E. 50 battery. This battery give the both Zoe a WLTP range of 395km, which is 25% improve over the previous generation battery without any change in size. The battery can be charged up through the direct current (DC) rapid charging capability via the new Combo CCS2 plug, and the Type 2 alternating current (AC).
With DC charging, the New Renault Zoe recovers up to 145 km of driving range in 30 minutes. With AC Type 2 charging, the new Zoe achieves zero to 100 percent capacity in three hours (on the 22 kW charger) and nine hours 30 minutes (on the 7.4 kW charger).
Interior wise, the updated Zoe comes with a redesigned cabin that features a wide 10-inch customisable full TFT instrument cluster and the Renault EASY LINK multimedia system with 6 speaker sound system. At the centre, the infotainment screen is now a 7-inch central touchscreen with smartphone connectivity function such as Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The interior also uses ethical and sustainable materials in the interior featuring tactile textiles on key touch points. Meanwhile, new Zoe’s enhanced comfort and ergonomics deliver a more pleasant ride for driver and passengers alike.
