GoCar Malaysia recently announce that they have partner up with Green EV Charge to enhance EV charging convenience across the country by integrating the chargEV mobile platform with GoCar’s mobile app. Green EV Charge is a joint venture company between Yinson Green Technologies (M) Sdn Bhd and GreenTech Malaysia Alliances Sdn Bhd.
With this partnership, GoCar member and other EV users have to ability to access chargEV stations network directly from the GoCar app without having to switch platforms. The ChargEV network comprise of 400 different charging station nationwide.
In the 1st phase of integration, GoCar app users have the ability to view locations, availability and the types of chargers on the chargEV network. GoCar is expected to include pre-booking an EV charger, scheduling a recharge, making payments, and monitoring the charging progress in the next phase of update.
Apart from Green EV Charge, GoCar app also team up with EV Connection recently to provide EV user to access the JomCharge network. At the current moment, GoCar app has the GoEV sharing and subscription line-up, which now includes the Nissan Leaf and Hyundai Kona E-Max and E-Lite. It is targeting an increase to more than 100 EVs in its fleet by the end of 2022.
Through GoEV, GoCar members can experience driving an EV for an hour, a day or a month and even from one to three years. Based on data collected to date, of the 1,000 GoEV users who have clocked an excess of 500,000 km, 90 percent were first-time EV users.
