BMW has been using CFRP since the 2003, which was used on the BMW M3 CSL.
The BMW iX M60 will come with a high level of standard equipment which includes 22” Air Performance Alloy wheels, Soft Close Doors, Laserlights and Parking Assistant Professional including the all-new Interior camera. For the iDrive, it will be running the new BMW Operating System 8 that has been designed with a clear focus on both the touch function of the new BMW Curved Display and voice communication with the extensively enhanced BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant. Adding to it, navigation will be handled by the cloud-based BMW Maps system and Augmented Reality Video on the Control Display ensures fast and precise route planning as well as outstanding traffic guidance.
In terms of performance, the iX M60 electric motor has the ability to produce 619bhp, and a peak torque of 1,100Nm. BMW has also given the iX M60 with an optimised drag coefficient of 0.27 which not only benefits the vehicle’s performance and efficiency, but of course the range. This resulted to a WLTP range of 571km.
